Job Description

The Waldorf Astoria Monarch Beach Resort & Club is an award-winning, AAA 5-Diamond luxury resort located in the picturesque coastal town of Dana Point, California. Nestled atop a 150-foot seaside bluff and sprawling across 175 acres, this resort offers a unique blend of natural beauty, sophisticated elegance, and exceptional amenities. Featuring over 400 guest rooms, 115,000 square feet of meeting space including indoor and outdoor venues, and eight diverse food and beverage outlets, the resort provides an unparalleled experience for both leisure and business travelers. Guests can indulge in various dining options, from four distinguished restaurants to a vibrant beach club, lounge, marketplace, and in-room dining services. Dana Point itself is renowned for its relaxed beach lifestyle, historic surf culture, and stunning coastal environment, making it an ideal locale for visitors seeking both tranquility and adventure. The Waldorf Astoria Monarch Beach Resort & Club is part of the prestigious Hilton portfolio, known globally for its commitment to hospitality excellence.

The role of Steward within the Food and Beverage Team at this prestigious resort is crucial to maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and service quality that guests expect from a Waldorf Astoria property. This full-time position is centered around ensuring that the kitchen and dining areas remain spotless and well-maintained, thus contributing directly to guests' overall experience. A Steward at this resort acts not only as a cleanliness expert but also as an ambassador of hospitality, spreading warmth and positivity throughout their work. Key responsibilities include cleaning chinaware, silverware, and cooking utensils meticulously, scrubbing pots and pans, burnishing silver, and keeping all serviceware ready for smooth operations across multiple outlets. In addition to cleaning duties, the Steward monitors stock levels to keep supplies consistently organized, supports banquet and event preparations by setting up serviceware, and ensures that all health, safety, sanitation, and alcohol awareness regulations are strictly followed to protect guest and team member wellbeing.

Joining the Hilton team means becoming part of a culture that values integrity, leadership, teamwork, ownership, and a sense of urgency for delivering outstanding guest experiences. The resort offers extensive benefits and opportunities for growth, including travel discounts, an employee stock purchase program, paid parental leave, caregiving support, mental health resources, and comprehensive health and welfare plans. Team members enjoy generous paid time off, retirement plans, and personalized support programs that foster both professional and personal wellbeing. If you are passionate about hospitality and dedicated to excellence, the Steward role at the Waldorf Astoria Monarch Beach Resort & Club offers a rewarding career path in a world-class setting where exceptional guest experiences begin with you.
