Job Description
Proof of the Pudding is an acclaimed catering company recognized for its excellence across the Southeast region of the United States. With a proud history of delivering high-quality culinary concepts created entirely from scratch, Proof of the Pudding has established itself as a leader in the catering industry. The company's dedication to quality and innovation has driven its successful expansion into Sports and Entertainment Hospitality Services. These expansions include providing elevated concession services and premium dining offerings to prestigious venues such as collegiate stadiums, PGA golf tournaments, International Boat Shows, and professional sports teams. This diversification showcases the company’s ability to cater to a variety of large-scale events while maintaining its commitment to quality and customer satisfaction.
Proof of the Pudding is currently seeking dedicated Stewards to join their team at the University of Georgia. The role primarily supports efficient back-of-house kitchen operations at event venues, including the football stadium and other campus locations. Stewards will play a vital role in maintaining cleanliness, organizing kitchen stations, and assisting in food preparation and storage. Responsibilities frequently include washing and sanitizing dishes, equipment, and kitchen areas to meet company standards and health regulations. The position requires flexibility, as tasks and assignments may change daily based on event demands.
This role is essential to the smooth operation of the kitchen and the overall event experience, as maintaining cleanliness and organization directly impacts the effectiveness of the food service team. Working environment conditions include exposure to varying terrains across stadium grounds, frequent movement between freezers, coolers, and kitchen areas, and the need to adhere to uniform and safety standards. The steward position is physically demanding, requiring the ability to lift objects up to 40 pounds, operate kitchen tools carefully, and endure long shifts in a fast-paced setting.
Proof of the Pudding values team members who demonstrate strong business acumen, dedication, integrity, and safety awareness. The company fosters a culture of teamwork, effective communication, initiative, adaptability, and exceptional service orientation. Candidates who thrive in dynamic environments, can follow precise directions, and maintain high energy levels will find this position rewarding. It offers not only competitive pay but also valuable on-the-job training with potential for career advancement within the company’s expanding hospitality services.
Additional benefits include a free meal while working, a flexible work schedule that generally excludes home game days, and the opportunity to grow within a company that prioritizes talent development and diversity and inclusion. Proof of the Pudding is an Equal Opportunity Employer committed to providing an inclusive workplace that values diverse perspectives and experiences. This role is ideal for individuals seeking to build a career in hospitality and event catering with a reputable and innovative company that is passionate about quality and customer experience.
