The Ronald Reagan Presidential Library and Museum, located in California, partners with Sodexo to provide superior food and facility services that help create memorable experiences for visitors and staff. As a Steward Supervisor at this historic site, you will play an essential role in maintaining the high standards of cleanliness, safety, and operational efficiency necessary for the food service operations. This position is full-time with a pay range of $22 to $25 per hour and involves working varying shifts with a preference for open availability.
In your role as Steward Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the stewarding staff and ensuring that all back-of-house areas are clean, safe, and well-organized. You will supervise multiple lines of business including restaurants, banquets, concessions, premium services, and catering functions. Close collaboration with culinary and operations leadership is also a key aspect of this position to guarantee consistent adherence to sanitation and safety standards. This leadership role includes conducting pre-shift meetings, supervising daily operations, supporting staff training, and maintaining readiness to meet the demands of both daily activities and special events.

Job Requirements
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience required
- minimum of 2-4 years of experience in stewarding, sanitation, or back-of-house food service operations required
- prior supervisory or lead experience preferred
- working knowledge of sanitation standards, chemical handling, and warewashing systems required
- ability to frequently lift and move up to 35 pounds and occasionally lift and move up to 40 pounds
- reliable attendance and punctuality
- open availability for varying shifts preferred
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- minimum of 2-4 years of experience in stewarding, sanitation, or back-of-house food service operations
- prior supervisory or lead experience preferred
- working knowledge of sanitation standards, chemical handling, and warewashing systems
- strong leadership and communication skills
- ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
Job Duties
- Supervise stewarding staff and assign work based on operational priorities and service volume
- conduct pre-shift briefings to review assignments, safety expectations, and sanitation priorities
- support training and onboarding of stewarding staff on sanitation procedures and safe work practices
- maintain readiness of kitchens, service areas, and support spaces to meet daily and event-driven demands
- ensure compliance with sanitation, safety, and operational standards
- collaborate with culinary and operations leadership to maintain cleanliness and workflow efficiency
- perform other duties as assigned based on business necessities and client requirements
