Responsibilities include operating and maintaining cleaning equipment such as dishwashing machines and pot-scrubbing stations, as well as sanitizing kitchen and storage areas, handling deliveries, and managing stock rotation. Job Duties

  • Operate and maintain cleaning equipment including dishwashing machine and pot-scrubbing station
  • Wash and disinfect kitchen, storeroom areas, tables, tools, knives, and equipment
  • Receive deliveries and store perishables properly
  • Rotate stock and ensure clean wares are stored appropriately
  • Use detergent, rinsing, and sanitizing chemicals in the 3-compartment sink to clean dishes
  • Inspect, pull, stack cleaned items and send soiled items back for re-washing
  • Rack and spray all racked items with hot water to remove food residues
  • Sort, soak, wash and re-wash silverware
  • Breakdown dirty bus tubs and empty trashcans and dumpster area
  • Clean and mop all areas in assigned departments
  • Dispose of glass properly and recycle cardboard and other recyclables
  • Follow company and safety policies and report maintenance needs and unsafe conditions
  • Communicate using clear and professional language and develop positive working relationships
  • Support team goals and adhere to quality expectations and standards
  • Lift, carry, push, and pull objects weighing up to 50 pounds
  • Stand, sit or walk for extended periods
  • Perform other reasonable duties as requested by supervisors
