The role of Utility Steward at Hilton is integral to maintaining the high standards of cleanliness and readiness that the company is known for. This full-time position involves varied shifts including early morning and evening hours, weekends, and holidays, requiring flexibility and dedication from the candidate. As a Utility Steward, individuals are responsible not only for keeping kitchen and dining areas spotless but also for embodying the spirit of hospitality by contributing to memorable guest experiences. The position demands a minimum of six months’ customer service experience and prior hotel steward experience, highlighting the importance of interpersonal skills and familiarity with the hospitality environment.

In this role, Utility Stewards handle critical tasks such as cleaning all chinaware, silverware, cooking utensils, and scrub pots and pans to the highest standards. They also monitor and maintain supply levels to ensure seamless service and play a key role in supporting event delivery by preparing serviceware for banquets and functions. Beyond operational duties, Utility Stewards are encouraged to train and mentor new team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team culture. Adherence to health, safety, sanitation, and alcohol awareness regulations is a top priority to protect the wellbeing of both guests and team members. Job Requirements

  • Minimum six months customer service experience
  • Prior hotel steward experience
  • Availability to work varied shifts including weekends and holidays
  • Ability to maintain high standards of cleanliness and organization
  • Understanding of health and safety regulations

Job Duties

  • Keep serviceware spotless by cleaning all chinaware, silverware, and cooking utensils, scrub pots and pans, and burnish silver
  • Monitor stock levels to ensure supplies and equipment are always well stocked and organized
  • Maintain kitchen cleanliness by performing essential cleaning tasks including mopping and trash removal
  • Support events delivery by preparing and setting up clean serviceware for banquets and functions
  • Train and mentor team members by sharing expertise with new stewards to help strengthen team performance
  • Comply with regulatory standards by maintaining health, safety, sanitation, and alcohol awareness regulations to ensure guest and team member well-being
