As a Steward / Kitchen Porter at Hilton, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the proper functioning and cleanliness of the hotel’s back-of-house operations. This position centers on supporting kitchen and food service operations by ensuring the highest levels of cleanliness and sanitation are consistently met in all food preparation areas and storerooms. Your responsibilities will include cleaning and tidying restaurants, kitchens, and food outlets, as well as maintaining storeroom organization to ensure a safe and efficient work environment.
In addition to general cleaning duties, the Steward / Kitchen Porter will be responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of all operating equipment and dishwashing machines in the kitchen, an essential part of ensuring smooth daily operations. You will work closely with the kitchen team to support excellent service delivery to Hilton’s guests, ensuring that hygiene and health and safety standards are adhered to at all times. This role requires a professional attitude, a strong work ethic, and the ability to perform effectively both autonomously and as part of a team.
The position typically requires some prior experience handling and working with chemicals safely, as well as a valid and current qualification in food hygiene or a similar certification. A passion for providing great service and attention to detail is essential to thrive and contribute positively within the Hilton environment.
