This dishwasherr role at InterContinental Hotels & Resorts plays a crucial part in maintaining cleanliness and operational efficiency within the food and beverage department. The dishwasher is responsible for cleaning and sanitizing plateware, silverware, glassware, pots and pans, utensils, equipment, and assigned work areas in a timely manner to support smooth kitchen operations. This position demands physical stamina to carry or lift items weighing up to 75 pounds, stand and move around kitchen areas for extended periods, and perform tasks requiring bending, stooping, and kneeling. Basic reading, writing, and math skills are essential to follow instructions, read machine or chemical labels, and prepare chemical solutions. The role may require working nights, weekends, and holidays, providing flexibility in scheduling. The rate of pay for this role is $16.75 per hour.

Job Duties

  • Set up work station including filling dish machine, checking chemical levels, presoaking, and gathering equipment
  • Rinse and scrape dishes, operate dishwashing machine to specifications
  • Place clean dishes in assigned storage location
  • Promote teamwork and coordinate daily with catering, banquets, outlets, and maintenance
  • Clean designated equipment such as hoods, steam tables, ovens, grills, refrigerators, sinks, walls, and floors
  • Empty and clean trash cans, transport garbage to dump sites, adhere to recycling regulations
  • Sweep and mop kitchen floor after meal periods and spills
  • Monitor chemicals and water temperature, clean and organize work area
  • Assist with other duties as assigned
