The role of a Steward, also known as Dishwasher, plays a crucial part in maintaining the hotel's high standards of cleanliness and operational efficiency. The Steward is primarily responsible for ensuring all hotel china, silverware, and cookware are impeccably cleaned and sanitized. This position supports all food service areas, including banquet event preparations, where the Steward organizes items for use and assists in transporting food to designated locations. The role demands strong communication skills to coordinate with other team members effectively and requires physical ability to lift, pull, and push moderate weights regularly. Flexibility is essential since the position involves variable shifts that can include any day of the week, weekends, and holidays, usually between 6:00 a.m. and 2:00 a.m.
