Job Description

HHM Hotels is a prominent hospitality company known for its commitment to delivering exceptional guest experiences through a blend of professionalism, innovation, and heartfelt service. As a leading hotel group, HHM Hotels offers a welcoming environment that nurtures employee growth and fosters a culture of excellence, flexibility, and ownership in every role. Dedicated to high standards and guest satisfaction, the company embodies values such as People Are Our Capability, Hearts That Serve, Only Excellence, Stay Nimble, and Own It, which guide its operations and interaction with both employees and customers.

This role is a key entry-level position within the culinary and kitchen operations team, focused on maintaining cleanliness, hygiene, and organization in the kitchen and dishwashing areas. As a Steward, you will play a vital part in ensuring that the kitchen operates efficiently by washing dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, and pans, as well as operating kitchen cleaning equipment. The position offers a strong growth path, with potential advancement opportunities to Cook or Stewarding Supervisor roles, eventually leading to executive responsibilities such as Executive Steward or Sous Chef.

The Steward position at HHM Hotels is compensated at $20.00 per hour and can involve part-time or full-time work schedules, including shifts that fall on holidays, weekends, and variable hours. The role requires a physical work environment where you will stand for extended periods, engage in walking, pushing, lifting (up to 50 pounds), bending, reaching, stooping, and kneeling. Embracing safe work habits and following OSHA and MSDS guidelines is a critical aspect of the job, emphasizing employee safety and wellness.

In addition to core dishwashing duties, you will also be responsible for maintaining kitchen work areas in a clean and orderly condition, stocking supplies like food or utensils, sweeping and washing floors, sorting and removing trash, and even performing food preparation during busy times or staffing shortages. You will be expected to contribute to increasing guest satisfaction scores by ensuring the kitchen environment supports quality food service and guest experience.

HHM Hotels places high importance on employee development and satisfaction, offering competitive wages, comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401k company match, paid time off, and various wellness and assistance programs. The work environment is dynamic and fast-paced, requiring team members who are reliable, adaptable, and committed to excellence. If you are passionate about hospitality, keen on maintaining high standards of cleanliness, and eager to grow within a supportive hotel company, this Steward role offers an excellent opportunity to launch and develop your career in the hospitality industry.
