Job Requirements

  • Must pass a background check - will need to get fingerprinted to work in school setting
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, if needed
  • ServSafe preferred but not required
  • Must pass drug screening

Job Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not required
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and follow instructions
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards
  • Physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift and carry heavy items, and perform repetitive tasks
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team

Job Duties

  • Efficiently clean dishes, pots, pans, utensils, and kitchen equipment using industrial dishwashers or manual methods as required
  • Maintain cleanliness in kitchen work areas, including floors, counters, and storage areas
  • Ensure that all areas are free of debris and spills
  • Properly handle and care for kitchen equipment and utensils, ensuring they are in good working condition and reporting any malfunctions or issues
  • Dispose of waste and recycling materials according to hospital policies and environmental regulations
  • Adhere to all sanitation and safety regulations to ensure a hygienic kitchen environment
  • Assist with other kitchen tasks as needed, including restocking supplies and helping with basic food preparation
