Job Requirements
- Must pass a background check - will need to get fingerprinted to work in school setting
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, if needed
- ServSafe preferred but not required
- Must pass drug screening
Job Qualifications
- Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not required
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and follow instructions
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift and carry heavy items, and perform repetitive tasks
- Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team
Job Duties
- Efficiently clean dishes, pots, pans, utensils, and kitchen equipment using industrial dishwashers or manual methods as required
- Maintain cleanliness in kitchen work areas, including floors, counters, and storage areas
- Ensure that all areas are free of debris and spills
- Properly handle and care for kitchen equipment and utensils, ensuring they are in good working condition and reporting any malfunctions or issues
- Dispose of waste and recycling materials according to hospital policies and environmental regulations
- Adhere to all sanitation and safety regulations to ensure a hygienic kitchen environment
- Assist with other kitchen tasks as needed, including restocking supplies and helping with basic food preparation
