The Steward role at Sonesta is critical in supporting the culinary and Food and Beverage teams to ensure that cleanliness and sanitation standards meet the company's high expectations. This full-time position offers a competitive pay rate of $14 per hour and involves working in a fast-paced kitchen environment where attention to detail and a commitment to hygiene are paramount. As part of the Sonesta team, the Steward helps maintain the integrity of food preparation areas, kitchen utensils, and equipment, ensuring everything is spotless, sanitized, and readily available for use. The role includes handling and operating dish machines, cleaning pots, pans, glassware, silverware, and other kitchen tools, as well as proper storage to prevent damage or contamination.

This position demands physical stamina given the requirement to lift and move heavy objects, maintain constant standing periods during shifts, and tolerate temperature variations such as those found in freezers or loading docks. The role also requires flexibility with shifts, including nights, weekends, holidays, and occasionally extended 10 to 12-hour workdays.
