In the role of Steward at Hilton, you play a crucial part in upholding the high standards of cleanliness and hospitality that the brand is renowned for. This position is more than just maintaining spotless kitchen and dining areas; it's about delivering warmth and memorable experiences for every guest. The Steward is responsible for cleaning all chinaware, silverware, and cooking utensils, scrubbing pots and pans, and polishing silver to perfection. Additionally, you are tasked with monitoring stock levels to ensure that all supplies and equipment are well stocked and organized, facilitating seamless service delivery. Maintaining cleanliness extends beyond the kitchen to include mopping floors and removing trash, reinforcing the importance of sanitary conditions.

A key part of your role is supporting event setups by preparing and organizing clean serviceware for banquets and functions, fostering the smooth execution of events. The position also involves training and mentoring new team members, helping to improve team performance and cohesion. Compliance with health, safety, sanitation, and alcohol awareness regulations is essential, ensuring both guest and team member well-being. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in a hospitality or food service role preferred
  • Ability to maintain high standards of cleanliness and sanitation
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to stand for long periods and perform physical tasks
  • Effective communication skills
  • Availability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience in hospitality or kitchen stewarding preferred
  • Knowledge of health and safety standards in food service environments
  • Ability to work effectively in a team setting
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Willingness to learn and mentor others

Job Duties
