Job Description

Crystal Mountain is Washington's premier ski resort and a favorite destination for outdoor enthusiasts seeking big mountain adventures throughout the year. As part of Alterra Mountain Company, Crystal Mountain aligns with some of the most prestigious and aspirational mountain brands worldwide, providing visitors with unparalleled terrain, breath-taking natural beauty, and world-class mountain experiences. Situated near the majestic Mt. Rainier and embraced by the serenity of a National Forest, this resort offers a vibrant environment where work and play are perfectly balanced. The community at Crystal Mountain is tightly knit, bound by a shared passion for the outdoors, adventure, and delivering exceptional guest experiences. Here, every team member contributes to a lively, inclusive culture that celebrates mountain life, camaraderie, and outdoor excitement.

Joining Crystal Mountain means becoming part of a dynamic workforce that values empowerment, authenticity, collaboration, and purposeful work. The resort continuously grows and evolves, enhancing both service offerings and employee opportunities. Whether you are looking to escape the city, advance your skills, or build a career in the ski industry, Crystal Mountain provides an array of roles tailored to motivated, enthusiastic team players. The resort fosters growth through year-round employment, encouraging team members to deepen their mountain roots and explore career advancement possibilities. The fun extends beyond work hours, with frequent events and ample opportunities for employees to enjoy skiing, snowboarding, and other outdoor activities on some of the nation's best snow and terrain.

As a Steward for Banquets within Crystal Mountain's Food & Beverage division, you will play a vital role in maintaining cleanliness and efficiency in a fast-paced banquet environment. Reporting to the Lead Banquet Cook and Executive Sous Chef, your duties revolve around washing dishes, pots, and pans, ensuring all items are sanitized and placed correctly. You'll manage chemical parts related to dishwashing, monitor cleanliness in the restaurant, and notify supervisors when supplies run low. Additional responsibilities include cleaning designated areas, managing waste through trash, composting, and recycling, and supporting table bussing and various assigned tasks. This position demands strong physical stamina, including the ability to stand for long periods and lift heavy items, reflecting the energetic pace and physicality required in mountain hospitality.

Crystal Mountain offers competitive pay ranging from $20 to $21 per hour plus tip-out, combined with an impressive benefits package. These perks include unlimited free season passes for Alterra Mountain destinations for employees and their dependents under 25, significant discounts on tickets, rentals, lessons, food, and retail gear, exclusive access to employee-only events, and available housing options for eligible team members. Benefits such as accrued paid time off, group health insurance, a 401(k) plan with generous matching, and numerous discount marketplaces underscore Crystal Mountain's commitment to its employees' well-being and job satisfaction. If you are ready to embrace the mountain lifestyle and contribute to an extraordinary resort experience, join Crystal Mountain and elevate your career to new heights.
