The seasonal opportunity of Steward in Banquets is situated within the Food & Beverage business unit and offers a pay range of $20 to $21 per hour plus tip out. This position reports directly to the Lead Banquet Cook and Executive Sous Chef and is based at Crystal Mountain, Washington. Working at Crystal Mountain as a Steward means being an essential part of maintaining cleanliness and safety standards within the resort’s banquet operations. The role is vital to ensuring that all dishes, pots, and pans are washed and properly stored efficiently, supporting both guest satisfaction and operational success. Additionally, the Steward monitors chemical pars related to dishwashing and restaurant cleanliness, communicates with supervisors about supply levels, assists with bussing tables, and maintains clean surface areas throughout the workspace. This position requires physical stamina and the ability to perform duties that involve standing for extended periods, lifting up to 50 pounds, bending, reaching, and working in a fast-paced environment that operates evenings, weekends, and holidays. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • ability to stand for 8 hours at a time
  • able to lift, carry or otherwise move and position a minimum of 50 pounds on a constant basis
  • ability to work for extended periods sitting, bending, reaching and speaking occasionally
  • ability to work for extended periods standing, walking, kneeling, pushing and pulling constantly
  • availability to work evenings, weekends and holidays
  • ability to follow instructions and work independently
  • commitment to maintaining a clean and safe work environment

Job Qualifications

  • Previous experience in dishwashing or stewarding preferred
  • ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment

Job Duties

  • Wash all dishes, pots and pans and place them in the proper location
  • oversee chemical pars related to dish pit and cleanliness of the restaurant
  • alert supervisor when supplies are low
  • clean designated surface areas
  • empty trash, composting and recycling to maintain a safe and clean work area
  • assist with bussing tables
  • perform other duties as assigned
