Job Description

This full-time position at Gaylord Rockies Resort & Convention Center is within the food and beverage and culinary category, specifically a non-management role focused on operations and maintenance within the kitchen and dining area. The successful candidate will play an important role in ensuring the cleanliness and sanitation of all kitchen equipment and utensils, including dishwashers, hand-washing stations, pot-washing stations, and trash compactors. Responsibilities extend to cleaning and disinfecting kitchen and storage areas, tables, utensils, knives, and various other equipment. The role involves receiving deliveries, properly storing perishable products, rotating stock, and making sure clean dishes are stored in designated areas.
The position demands use of chemical detergents, disinfectants, and rinse products in a three-compartment sink to ensure high standards of kitchen cleanliness. The candidate will inspect and organize cleaned items, send dirty items back for re-washing if needed, and classify and soak silverware for additional washing. Maintaining waste management through emptying trash bins, cleaning storage areas, recycling glass and cardboard, and complying with safety protocols is essential. The role requires physical stamina, including lifting and moving up to 50 pounds, standing, sitting, and walking for extended periods, reaching overhead and below the knees, bending, twisting, and other reasonable job duties assigned by supervisors.

Job Duties
- Operate and maintain cleaning equipment and tools including dishwashers, hand-washing and pot-washing stations, and trash compactors
- Wash and disinfect kitchen and storage areas, tables, utensils, knives, and equipment
- Receive deliveries, properly store perishable products, and rotate stock
- Use chemical detergents, disinfectants, and rinse products in a three-compartment sink to clean dishes
- Inspect, stack, and sort clean items and send dirty items back for re-cleansing
- Empty trash bins and maintain waste storage areas including recycling
- Clean and mop all assigned departmental areas and dispose of glass in proper containers
- Follow all company safety policies and report accidents, injuries, and unsafe conditions
- Communicate clearly and professionally with others and support teamwork to achieve common goals
- Move, lift, transport, push, pull, and place objects up to 50 pounds
- Stand, sit, or walk for extended periods
