Job Description

Heritage Restaurant Group is a key division of Heritage Companies, which stands as New Mexico's largest locally owned hospitality entity. This distinguished organization brings together chef-driven restaurants, inventive culinary ventures, and vibrant destination dining experiences such as Sawmill Market, Park Square Market, The Smoky Note, and the upcoming Santa Fe Food Market. Heritage Companies are deeply committed to crafting experiences rooted in authenticity, exceptional service, and a prideful connection to the community. They emphasize celebrating culture through food and genuine hospitality, placing guest experiences and community engagement at the forefront of their mission. This company is renowned for fostering a workplace environment where passion for service and leading with heart are essential values, making it an inviting place for professionals seeking to be part of a dynamic and culturally rich hospitality family.

The Steward role at Heritage Restaurant Group is pivotal in preserving the welcoming and safe atmosphere that guests expect within a high-volume food hall setting. Stewards ensure that cleanliness is not just a routine but a vital part of the overall guest experience. By maintaining clean dining areas, restrooms, and communal spaces, the Steward elevates the atmosphere where guests can gather, connect, and form lasting positive impressions. Their role extends beyond simple cleaning duties; it involves quick responses to spills and hazards, ensuring high standards of sanitation and presentation are consistently met throughout the day. Stewards work in close cooperation with vendors, supporting their operations while maintaining common areas, thereby playing an essential role in the overall success of the food market. This position requires a detail-oriented, guest-focused mindset and a proactive approach to maintaining a safe and inviting environment.

In addition to the operational duties, the Steward is responsible for the care and proper use of cleaning chemicals and equipment, stock maintenance, and assisting with larger cleaning projects or market events when necessary. A professional appearance, adherence to company safety and health regulations, and the protection of company assets and information confidentiality are integral aspects of the role. The Steward contributes to the vibrant energy and community spirit of Heritage’s food hall destinations, ensuring guests feel comfortable, cared for, and excited to return. This position offers competitive pay, comprehensive benefits, and opportunities for professional growth within the expanding Heritage Companies family, making it an excellent opportunity for individuals seeking a meaningful role in the hospitality industry.
