This position is located at 320 N Dearborn St, Chicago, Illinois, within the Food and Beverage & Culinary category at The Westin. This role is full-time and non-management, with a consistent pay rate of $26.50 per hour. The responsibilities chiefly revolve around maintaining cleanliness and sanitation within the kitchen and storage areas. Tasks include operating and maintaining cleaning equipment such as dishwashers, hand-washing stations, pot-washing stations, and the garbage compactor. The role also requires washing, disinfecting, and organizing kitchen tools, utensils, knives, and clean dishware to ensure they are stored properly for operational efficiency.

Job Duties
- Operate and maintain cleaning equipment including dishwashers, hand-washing stations, pot-washing stations, and garbage compactor
- Wash and disinfect kitchen areas, storage rooms, tables, utensils, knives, and equipment
- Receive deliveries and properly store perishable products while rotating stock
- Ensure clean dishware is stored in appropriate locations
- Use cleaning chemicals, disinfectants, and rinsing agents in three-compartment sinks for washing dishes
- Inspect, remove, stack clean articles and return dirty articles for rewashing
- Spray hot water to loosen and eliminate food residues on articles
- Sort, soak, wash, and rewash cutlery
- Sort and separate containers for dirty items
- Empty trash bins and maintain waste deposit areas
- Clean and mop all assigned department areas
- Dispose of glass in appropriate containers and recycle cardboard and other materials
- Comply with company safety policies and report accidents, injuries, and unsafe conditions
- Protect company property
- Communicate clearly and professionally with others
- Develop and maintain positive working relationships and support team objectives
- Ensure compliance with quality expectations and standards
- Move, lift, transport, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 50 pounds
- Stand, sit, or walk for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as reaching, bending, twisting, and stooping
- Perform other reasonable work tasks as assigned by supervisors
