Daily responsibilities extend to setting up and breaking down the dish machine, maintaining appropriate water temperatures, and managing waste disposal and linen rotation throughout shifts. Support in spot cleaning and assisting with storing received stock items further highlights the collaborative efforts expected across front and back-of-house operations.
The Dishwasher will work under the guidance of management while maintaining a clean, safe, and organized work area that complies with all safety guidelines and sanitation practices. Job Requirements
- minimum of 6 months of experience
- availability to work flexible schedule including mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays and other shifts
- ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- ability to bend and reach frequently
- capacity to carry equipment and service items up to 50 pounds regularly and occasionally up to 100 pounds
- ability to work in environments with extreme temperatures and loud noises
- adherence to all safety guidelines
- ability to maintain personal hygiene and a clean uniform
- willingness to report unsafe conditions, accidents or injuries immediately
Job Qualifications
- minimum of 6 months of experience

- working knowledge of kitchen equipment, food preparation techniques and safe food handling practices

Job Duties
- reports to work on time and is on the dishwashing station as indicated on the weekly work schedule
- uniform meets requirements and is maintained clean
- cleans front of the house areas including floors, bar floors/mats, windows, trashcans and restrooms prior to restaurant opening
- cleans and performs routine maintenance to the exterior of the building
- sets up and breaks down dish machine including arms, screens, and baskets daily
- checks dish machine operation and reports defects immediately
- washes, stores and stocks all plateware, glassware, utensils, cups, bowls, pots, pans and other smallwares
- frequently checks water temperature of dish machine and changes water according to specifications
- removes trash from dish room and kitchen regularly, cleans and sanitizes trash cans
- checks, removes and replaces full linen bags regularly
- assists in spot cleaning floors, carpeting, walls and furnishings
- assists in storing food, equipment, supplies and stock items received
- maintains cleanliness and sanitation of work area including countertops, refrigeration units, floors, walls and shelving
- adheres to safety guidelines and reports unsafe conditions, accidents or injuries
- completes all station closing duties and assists kitchen manager with kitchen cleanliness
