This full-time, non-management role within the Food and Beverage and Culinary category focuses on maintaining cleanliness and sanitation in the kitchen and storage areas. The position offers a competitive hourly wage of $26.00 and is integral to ensuring that the back-of-house operations meet stringent quality and safety standards. The Dishwasher role involves operating and maintaining cleaning equipment such as dishwashing machines, hand wash stations, pot-scrubbing stations, and trash compactors. Responsibilities extend to washing and disinfecting kitchen and storeroom areas as well as tools, knives, and equipment to maintain a hygienic workspace.

Employees in this role are expected to handle deliveries properly, store perishables, and rotate stock to ensure freshness and compliance with health regulations. Proper storage of clean wares is crucial, and utilizing detergent, rinsing, and sanitizing chemicals in a three-compartment sink system is part of routine duties to ensure dishes are sanitized thoroughly. The dishwasher will inspect, pull, and stack cleaned items and ensure that any soiled items receive additional scrubbing or washing.

Further responsibilities include racking and spraying items with hot water to remove food residues, sorting and washing silverware, breaking down dirty bus tubs, and maintaining trashcans and dumpster areas in a clean state. Cleaning and mopping assigned department areas and proper disposal of glass and recyclables, such as cardboard, are also essential tasks. The role demands adherence to all company safety and security policies, including the reporting of maintenance issues, accidents, and unsafe conditions to management. Employees must complete safety training and certifications as required.

This role requires physical capability to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance. The dishwasher should also be able to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods and perform movements such as bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping. Effective communication skills and the ability to foster positive working relationships are important to support team goals and ensure a high standard of operations.
