Job Description

Heritage Hotels & Resorts stands as New Mexico's premier locally owned hospitality group, renowned for its unwavering dedication to culture, place, and people. With a collection of luxury hotels and award-winning restaurants, the group carefully crafts experiences rooted in authentic storytelling, exceptional service, and deep community pride. This hospitality group has built its reputation not just on providing comfortable accommodations and exquisite dining, but also on a profound respect for the communities and environments it operates within. Their commitment to the care of guests, employees, and neighborhoods alike is reflected in every aspect of their operations, establishing them as a leader in the regional hospitality industry. Heritage Hotels & Resorts embodies the spirit and culture of New Mexico, making each guest interaction meaningful and memorable through attentive, personalized service and thoughtful experiences. The group is locally owned, ensuring decisions and business practices remain closely aligned with the values and well-being of the local community. This enhances the authenticity and sincerity of their guest offerings, cultivating strong ties between visitors and the unique heritage of New Mexico.

The Steward role within Heritage Hotels & Resorts is crucial for maintaining the exceptional standards that guests and staff expect. The Steward is deeply involved in upholding cleanliness and organizational excellence in the kitchen and back-of-house areas, ensuring a seamless operation that supports culinary excellence. This role directly impacts the efficiency and safety of kitchen operations, which underpin the high-quality service provided by the culinary team. Duties include the operation of dishwashing equipment to ensure all dishes, glassware, utensils, and kitchen tools are impeccably cleaned and sanitary. Beyond dishwashing, the Steward plays an integral role in managing waste through responsible removal of trash, recycling, and compost, thereby contributing to a safe and sustainable kitchen environment. Maintaining floors, drains, walls, and equipment in compliance with sanitation standards is also essential, as it safeguards health and food safety regulations. This position demands a proactive approach, including restocking supplies and assisting with banquet and event breakdowns, highlighting the diverse operational support the Steward provides. The Steward serves as a foundational member of the culinary team, enhancing the capability of chefs and kitchen staff to focus on delivering outstanding cuisine and dining experiences. Heritage Hotels & Resorts values team collaboration and takes pride in offering robust support and growth opportunities to those who join their team. This role provides not only a vital contribution to the hospitality experience but also the chance to be part of a community-focused company that values employee growth and excellence. The work schedule may include days, evenings, weekends, and holidays, accommodating the dynamic nature of the hospitality sector. Competitive pay and comprehensive benefits underscore the organization’s commitment to its employees, making the Steward position a rewarding opportunity for candidates passionate about culinary operations and hospitality service.
