Job Description

The Steward/Dishwasher position is a critical role within our onboard operations, dedicated to maintaining a smooth and efficient environment during our events. Housed within a reputable hospitality or event services company operating in Pittsburgh, PA, this role demands a strong work ethic and dedication, essential for maintaining the quality and presentation of the meals served during various functions. Whether the events are intimate gatherings or large celebrations, the steward/dishwasher plays a fundamental role ensuring that guests receive impeccable service and a positive overall experience. With a starting pay of $12.00 per hour plus tips, this opportunity offers both part-time and full-time positions with an expected commitment of 40 hours per week. Employees can expect a well-structured schedule that may include 8-hour or 10-hour shifts during evenings and nights, and weekend availability is required alongside weekdays as needed.

This role is especially suitable for individuals who thrive in fast-paced environments and are eager to work collaboratively in a team setting, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and according to high standards. As a steward/dishwasher, you will be the backbone that supports the event flow by setting up the venue, preparing food items, carving meats, running buffet lines, and rigorously maintaining cleanliness through dishwashing and waste disposal. At the end of the cruise or event, you will also be responsible for thorough cleanup to restore the space to a pristine condition. The company values respect and passion in its workforce and encourages team members to contribute to an inclusive and positive workplace atmosphere. Alongside competitive pay, workers enjoy additional benefits such as employee discounts and referral programs, which emphasize rewarding commitment and fostering employee engagement. The role requires individuals aged 16 and older, capable of lifting items up to 30 pounds, and who possess the ability to follow directions accurately while working cooperatively with others.
