As a large-scale hotel and convention center, it caters to a diverse clientele including tourists, business travelers, and event organizers. The role available is a full-time, non-management position focused on maintaining cleanliness and hygiene within the hotel’s food and beverage areas. This position offers a pay rate of $22.80 per hour and requires open availability to meet scheduling needs. The successful candidate will be tasked with operating and maintaining various cleaning equipment such as dishwashing machines, hand wash stations, pot scrubbing stations, and a trash compactor to ensure all kitchen and storeroom areas adhere to strict sanitation guidelines. Duties include washing and disinfecting tables, kitchen tools, equipment, knives, and managing the proper storage of clean wares. The role also involves receiving deliveries, properly storing perishables, rotating stock, and utilizing chemical detergents and sanitizers during the cleaning process to uphold food safety standards.

This position will also require sorting, soaking, washing, and re-washing silverware along with breaking down dirty bussing tubs and maintaining trash and recycling areas. Adherence to company policies, safety protocols, and effective communication within the team is essential. Physical demands include the ability to move, lift, and carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds and the capability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods while performing tasks that require bending, twisting, and stooping. This role supports the operational goals of the food and beverage department by ensuring a clean and organized environment that aligns with the high standards of the Gaylord Rockies Resort and Convention Center. Candidates with previous experience in fast-food fryer cleaning operations are preferred, emphasizing the importance of specialized knowledge in equipment maintenance.

Job Duties

  • Operate and maintain cleaning equipment including dishwashing machines and trash compactors
  • wash and disinfect kitchen and storeroom areas, tables, tools, knives, and equipment
  • receive deliveries and properly store perishables
  • rotate stock to ensure freshness
  • use detergents and sanitizers in the 3-compartment sink for dish cleaning
  • inspect, pull, and stack cleaned items, rescrub and rewash soiled items
  • rack and spray items with hot water to remove food residue
  • sort, soak, wash, and rewash silverware
  • breakdown dirty bus tubs
  • empty and maintain trash cans and dumpster area
  • clean and mop all assigned department areas
  • dispose of glass and break down cardboard for recycling
  • follow safety and security policies and report maintenance and safety issues
  • protect company assets
