The Steward role at Four Seasons New Orleans is crucial in maintaining the high standards of cleanliness and hygiene essential to the hotel’s award-winning Food and Beverage operations. This full-time position involves supporting various dining outlets by ensuring all tableware, kitchen equipment, and utensils are impeccably cleaned and sanitized. As part of the Stewarding and Food and Beverage departments, the Steward plays a vital role in creating a seamless and enjoyable dining experience for guests. The role demands exceptional attention to detail, a strong work ethic, and the ability to handle fast-paced environments efficiently.
The Steward will be responsible for cleaning and sanitizing china, glassware, silverware, pots, pans, and kitchen utensils using dish machines and other cleaning tools. Additionally, maintaining the silver polishing program and ensuring all cleaning supplies and chemicals are used safely are important aspects of the job. The role requires physical stamina as it involves lifting and moving heavy items up to 100 pounds. Effective communication skills and teamwork are essential, as the Steward interacts regularly with other departments to coordinate efforts and uphold Four Seasons' legendary standards.
