This job opportunity is for a full-time, non-management position within the Food and Beverage & Culinary category. The role focuses on maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards critical to the hotel's kitchen and food service areas. It involves essential back-of-house tasks such as operating and maintaining cleaning equipment including the dishwashing machine, handling sanitization of kitchen surfaces, and managing inventory by receiving deliveries and properly rotating stock. Job Duties
- Operate and maintain cleaning equipment including dishwashing machine and hand wash stations
- wash and disinfect kitchen, store room areas, tables, tools, knives, and equipment
- receive deliveries and properly store perishables
- rotate stock to ensure freshness
- use detergent and sanitizing chemicals in the 3-compartment sink to clean dishes
- inspect, pull, and stack cleaned items
- send soiled items back for re-washing
- rack and spray items with hot water to remove residue
- soak, wash, and re-wash silverware
- breakdown dirty bus tubs
- empty and maintain trashcans and dumpster area
- clean and mop all assigned department areas
- dispose of glass properly
- break down cardboard boxes and place recyclables in bins
- follow all company safety and security policies
- report maintenance needs and unsafe conditions
- complete required safety training
- protect company assets
- communicate clearly and professionally
- develop and maintain positive working relationships
- support team goals
- move and lift objects up to 50 pounds
- stand, sit, or walk for extended periods
