- ability to operate and maintain cleaning equipment
- ability to follow safety and security policies
- ability to report maintenance needs, accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions
- ability to use detergent and sanitizing chemicals properly
- ability to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects up to 50 pounds
- ability to stand, sit, and walk for extended periods
- ability to perform physical tasks including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping
- willingness to perform other reasonable job duties as assigned by supervisors
Job Qualifications
- no high school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent required

Job Duties
- operate and maintain cleaning equipment such as dish washing machine and hand wash stations
- wash and disinfect kitchen and storeroom areas, tables, tools, knives, and equipment
- receive deliveries and properly store perishables with stock rotation
- use detergent, rinsing, and sanitizing chemicals to clean dishes in the 3-compartment sink
- inspect, pull, stack cleaned items and send soiled items back for re-scrubbing and re-washing
- rack and spray dishes with hot water to loosen food residue
- sort, soak, and wash/re-wash silverware
- break down dirty bus tubs
- empty and maintain trashcans and dumpster area
- clean and mop all areas in assigned departments
- dispose of glass and break down cardboard boxes for recycling
- follow safety and security policies and report maintenance needs and unsafe conditions
- complete safety training and certifications
- move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 50 pounds
- stand, sit, or walk for extended periods
- reach overhead and below knees performing physical tasks as required
- develop positive working relationships and support team goals
- perform other reasonable job duties as requested by supervisors
