The Steward position at the Emerald Queen Casino is a critical role within the Food and Beverage (F&B) department. This full-time role involves performing inventory duties such as receiving and storing all food, supplies, and necessary kitchen materials. The Steward plays a vital role in maintaining the organization and sanitation of storage areas and supports daily kitchen operations by ensuring timely communication and fulfillment of orders for various departments. Starting at $18.80 per hour, the wage increases to $19.70 per hour upon successful completion of a 90-day orientation period. The position offers excellent employer-paid benefits including medical, dental, vision, and life insurance. The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or GED equivalent, possess experience in a high-volume full-service restaurant, and hold a valid Washington State food handler's card. Additionally, physical endurance to stand for long hours, the ability to lift up to 40 pounds, and mobility to navigate stairs regularly are needed. Due to the nature of the environment, the ability to tolerate a smoke-filled atmosphere is also required. Applicants must comply with all regulatory requirements, including obtaining a Class III B license from the Puyallup Tribal Gaming Regulatory Office and the Washington State Gaming Commission.
