Job Requirements

  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to tolerate extreme temperatures such as freezers and loading dock
  • Must be able to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or 20 pounds frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push or pull objects
  • Must be able to push and pull equipment weighing up to 250 pounds
  • Frequent bending, kneeling and reaching required
  • Ability to stand during entire shift
  • Flexibility to work variable days of the week including weekends and holidays
  • Flexibility to work variable shifts including days, nights, overnights
  • Availability for ten to twelve hour shifts sometimes required

Job Qualifications

  • Previous experience as a kitchen worker preferred
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred

Job Duties

  • Operate dish machine, clean and sanitize pots and pans, china, glassware, flatware, kitchen equipment and other utensils
  • Store all clean pots and pans, china, glassware, flatware, kitchen equipment and other utensils to its proper storage location using care to minimize breakage
  • Clean and sanitize the kitchen and food preparation areas
  • Sweep and mop all kitchen floors and other assigned areas
  • Collect and properly dispose of trash
  • Service food for the Employee Cafeteria as specified by the Chef or Kitchen Supervisor
  • Adhere to established safety and sanitation guidelines
