Currently, The Admiral Hotel is looking to hire a Steward for its new Food and Beverage outlets. This role is essential in maintaining the cleanliness and operational efficiency of the kitchen areas, ensuring that hygiene standards meet or exceed expectations and support the smooth functioning of the culinary team. The Steward will play a vital role in assisting with dishwashing, food preparation, and overall kitchen sanitation, helping to create a safe, organized, and welcoming environment for both staff and patrons.

Job Requirements
- High school diploma preferred
- 1 year steward / dishwashing experience preferred
- Ability to follow instructions accurately both verbally and in writing
- Ability to work with and around kitchen equipment
- Ability to stand for long periods
- Ability to lift, push, pull items in excess of 30 pounds
- Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays
- Must be punctual and reliable
- Ability to work in fast-paced and sometimes hazardous kitchen environment
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma preferred
- 1 year steward / dishwashing experience preferred
- Customer service
- Planning and multi-tasking

- Must be able to accurately follow instructions, both verbally and written
- Must be able to work with and around kitchen equipment
- Ability to learn and perform all essential job functions accurately and safely with minimal supervision
Job Duties
- Maintains a clean kitchen, properly washes and sorts soiled dishes, and preps foods as needed
- Sets up dish stations, including dishmachines and sinks
- Maintains clean / dry floors throughout the shift
- Properly washes, stacks, and stores china, glassware, silverware, cookware, and storage containers
- Changes water of machines and sinks every two hours, or more often as required by business levels, and properly uses chemical dilutions set by EcoLab
- Assists in the timely storing of food deliveries
- Maintains trash cans throughout shifts and removes full trash cans and boxes at the end of each shift
- Maintains the dry storage area and the organization of storage shelves
- Follows the posted daily dish cleaning duties
- Assists in food prep and any other duties set forth or requested by the chef as needed
- Responsible for punctuality when reporting to work, and clocking in and out
- Works a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Performs all other duties as assigned by the Chef de Cuisine, Sous Chef, or management
