We are currently seeking a dedicated and skilled Travel Step Down RN for an exciting travel nursing job located in Seattle, WA. This position is ideal for a registered nurse looking to make a significant impact in a fast-paced step down unit while enjoying the benefits of travel nursing. The role is a 13-week assignment with a schedule of 36 hours per week, primarily during night shifts consisting of 12-hour rotations.

As a Travel Step Down RN, you will be responsible for providing critical patient care in a step down unit, which serves as an intermediate care environment between intensive care and general medical-surgical units. This specialty requires a nurse to have strong clinical skills, critical thinking, and the ability to coordinate care for patients who need close monitoring and complex interventions. The nurse will manage patients recovering from acute episodes, postoperative care, or those with life-sustaining devices, ensuring a smooth transition from intensive care to lower levels of assistance.

The salary for this position is $1882 per week, reflecting the value and specialized skills required for the role. Wanderly offers the flexibility of comparing travel nurse salaries across top agencies to ensure our nurses receive competitive compensation. This opportunity provides nurses with not only a rewarding professional experience but also a chance to explore the vibrant city of Seattle, known for its innovative healthcare facilities, diverse culture, and scenic beauty.

Throughout the assignment, Travel Step Down RNs will engage in comprehensive patient assessments, collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams, and utilize advanced nursing practices to optimize patient outcomes. Adeptness in handling complex monitoring equipment and familiarity with the protocols of step down units are essential to succeed in this role. This position is well suited for nurses who are passionate about critical care nursing but prefer the balance and pace of a step down environment.

Wanderly’s streamlined application process through our Universal Application enables nurses to easily apply to this and other exciting travel nursing opportunities without the hassle of multiple applications. We emphasize support, professional development, and competitive remuneration to foster a fulfilling travel nursing career for all our candidates.
