The Steakhouse Sprinter position at Graton Resort & Casino is a critical role within the food and beverage department. This role is primarily responsible for the timely and professional delivery of food from the kitchen to guests, ensuring all orders are complete, accurately prepared, and matched to the correct seat numbers. The Sprinter works closely with both the kitchen team and front-of-house staff to maintain smooth service operations and exceptional guest experiences. In addition to food delivery, the Sprinter assists in setting up and maintaining expo stations, which include organizing condiments, utensils, and napkins. This position requires effective communication skills, in-depth knowledge of the menu for accurate dish descriptions, and the ability to monitor guest satisfaction closely.

Job Requirements

  • Minimum one year experience in gourmet, fine dining, or high-volume restaurants
  • Possess or obtain Responsible Beverage Service State Certification
  • Possess or obtain California Food Handler Certification
  • Ability to communicate effectively in written and verbal form
  • Ability to work flexible schedule including weekends, holidays, and all shifts
  • Ability to stand and walk up to 7 hours per day
  • Ability to lift, carry, and push weight up to 100 lbs
  • Ability to perform physical activities such as bending, twisting, kneeling, and squatting
  • Ability to maintain cleanliness and organization in work areas

Job Qualifications

  • Ability to communicate effectively with guests, team members, and management in both written and verbal form
  • Minimum one year of experience in gourmet, fine dining, or high-volume restaurants
  • Must possess or obtain Responsible Beverage Service State Certification
  • Must possess or obtain California Food Handler Certification
  • Ability to handle flexible work schedule including weekends, holidays, and all shifts

Job Duties

  • Redefine hospitality at Graton Resort & Casino while promoting company values
  • Perform responsibilities in accordance with all company standards, policies, and procedures
  • Deliver food from kitchen to correct table in a timely and professional manner
  • Follow steps of service as outlined by department consistently
  • Ensure all food orders are complete, garnished, and presented before delivery
  • Describe dishes to guests with prescribed verbiage
  • Assist in setting up and maintaining expo stations including condiments, utensils, and napkins
  • Communicate effectively with kitchen and front-of-house staff for smooth service
  • Ensure food is delivered at correct temperature and quality
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in dining room, kitchen, and service areas
  • Monitor guest satisfaction and report concerns to management or servers
  • Adhere to health, safety, and sanitation standards
  • Assist with other tasks as directed by supervisor or manager
