As an integral part of the larger Graton Resort, the restaurant within the facility offers guests an elevated culinary adventure coupled with outstanding service. The establishment prides itself on maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and guest satisfaction, creating an inviting and enjoyable atmosphere for diners. With a strong commitment to employee development and a welcoming team environment, Graton Resort & Casino stands out as a prominent player in the hospitality and gaming sector, fostering both career growth and a dynamic work culture.
The Assistant Restaurant Manager position is a pivotal role within Graton Resort & Casino's Food Operations Department. This role primarily focuses on delivering fast, friendly, and courteous service with a strong hospitality element, ensuring that the restaurant consistently serves high-quality food and beverages while providing exceptional guest service. The Assistant Restaurant Manager will be responsible for upholding and promoting the company-wide culture and service standards, demonstrating leadership through daily interactions and operational oversight.
Key responsibilities include enforcing policies and procedures fairly in alignment with the company’s negotiated union contract, managing day-to-day restaurant operations such as opening and closing, coordinating schedules, interviewing and training team members, and conducting performance evaluations. This role demands an individual who can handle guest complaints professionally, manage inventory effectively, and maintain compliance with health and safety guidelines. By facilitating communication between front of house and back of house teams and leading regular team huddles, the Assistant Restaurant Manager ensures seamless operations and keeps the entire team informed about property events, HR announcements, and restaurant specials.
The ideal candidate for this role will have a minimum of two years’ supervisory experience in food and beverage, display excellent judgment even under pressure, and possess strong communication skills. This role requires flexibility with scheduling, including working weekends, holidays, and various shifts. Because the position requires regulatory compliance, the candidate must be at least 21 years old and be able to obtain a gaming license as well as possess or obtain a California Food Handler Certification. By fostering teamwork, accountability, and a commitment to guest satisfaction, the Assistant Restaurant Manager will play a vital role in the continued success and reputation of the Graton Resort & Casino dining experience. This role offers an exciting opportunity for career growth within a vibrant hospitality and gaming environment where every team member is valued and empowered to contribute to the restaurant’s excellence.
