Job Description

Motivate is a leading micromobility service operations and infrastructure company specializing in managing bikeshare systems for some of the largest cities across the nation. With a strong focus on scalable fleet development and optimal system performance, Motivate ensures the highest level of customer satisfaction in the industry. Their teams are a mix of operational experts, creative leaders, and sustainability-minded professionals dedicated to transforming urban transportation and making cities more connected, accessible, and environmentally friendly. Motivate's commitment to exceptional service drives their mission to help communities move efficiently and enjoy seamless access to the places people love.

The role of Station Valet Attendant at Motivate is an exciting opportunity for those who enjoy working with people, especially in outdoor urban settings. This position focuses on delivering excellent customer service during busy riding seasons and special events at key bikeshare stations. Station Valet Attendants assist riders with bike check-outs, finding available docks, and answering questions to enhance the overall bikeshare experience. The job includes managing inventory, inspecting safety and cleanliness of bikes and station equipment, and troubleshooting operational issues. Schedules typically involve morning and evening shifts, Monday through Friday, with flexibility needed for special event coverage and changing business demands.

This role requires individuals who are dependable, have a strong work ethic, and take pride in their work. Because the job involves physical activity such as lifting, pushing, and pulling bikes up to 75 pounds, as well as standing and walking for extended periods, candidates must be physically capable and comfortable working in varying weather conditions. Familiarity with city geography and using GPS-enabled smartphones is helpful, and a willingness to learn the bikeshare system is essential.

Motivate values employees who thrive in fast-paced environments, juggle multiple tasks efficiently, and maintain a friendly and calm demeanor when assisting customers. Working outdoors in different seasons adds dynamic challenges that make the job unique and engaging. The company promotes teamwork, growth opportunities, and a culture where employee contributions directly impact urban mobility and environmental sustainability.

Joining Motivate as a Station Valet Attendant means becoming part of a passionate team dedicated not only to operational excellence but also to supporting communities by providing meaningful employment. This role offers a chance to be part of a forward-thinking company that values character, determination, and professionalism. Employees benefit from a collaborative work environment and perks like 401(k) retirement plans with company match, commuter benefits, and pathways for career advancement. Motivate is also committed to equal opportunity employment and providing accommodations, ensuring an inclusive workplace where everyone can succeed.
