Located in Tyler, Texas, this role as a Station Cook is integral to maintaining the quality and efficiency of American Dining Creations' food service operations. The Station Cook is responsible for the preparation, setup, and serving of a variety of menu offerings at designated stations such as Grill, Pizza, Deli, Salad Bar, Seasonal, and Specialty items. This position demands attention to detail, adherence to food safety protocols, and a customer-focused attitude, ensuring every guest receives outstanding service paired with high-quality dining options. Station Cooks contribute directly to the memorable dining experience American Dining Creations is known for by preparing food to exacting standards, maintaining cleanliness and sanitation of their station, and upholding safety standards during food handling and storage. Additional responsibilities may include operating POS systems for order completion and packaging to-go items.
Candidates for this role are expected to bring a proactive mindset, with a willingness to learn quickly in a fast-paced and high-volume environment. Basic knife skills and previous food service experience are beneficial but not mandatory, as the company supports continuous learning and cross-training opportunities. Physical requirements include the ability to lift up to 30 pounds unassisted, and the role requires standing, walking, bending, and climbing stairs during scheduled shifts. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous food service or hospitality experience preferred
- Ability to follow food safety and sanitation standards
- Ability to lift up to 30 pounds unassisted
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and climb stairs for extended periods

Job Qualifications
- Previous hospitality/food service experience
- Basic knife skills a plus
- Ability to learn quickly in a fast-paced, high-volume, high-quality environment
- Self-motivated achiever, eager to learn and interested in taking on additional roles and responsibilities
- Must be dedicated to excellence in hospitality and have a desire to offer a great dining experience
- Ability to cross train and cross utilize skills
- Safety and detail oriented
- This position requires lifting 30lbs unassisted, bending, walking, climbing stairs, and standing for scheduled shifts
Job Duties
- Follow standards to prepare and serve menu offerings for designated station
- Carry pans, kettles, and trays of food to and from workstations, stove, and refrigerator in accordance with established safety standards
- Serve food and any goods per guest specifications
- Store foods in designated areas following standard wrapping, dating, food safety, and rotation procedures
- Retain temperature logs and production records in an efficient manner
- Keep supplies replenished, may restock coolers, and take inventory as directed
- Set-up and breakdown stations, clean and sanitize equipment, utensils, dishes for designated workstation
- Adhere to all state and local food production, safety, and sanitation regulations
- Remain focused on customer satisfaction through providing excellent service to all guests, clients, and team members
- Listen well and communicate in a professional and friendly manner
- Be efficient and organized
- May operate POS to complete orders, and package to go items
- May be assigned other duties and responsibilities as needed
