Job Description

Our client is a distinguished full-service professional restaurant known for delivering exceptional dining experiences in a warm, welcoming atmosphere. Emphasizing teamwork and customer-centric service, the restaurant maintains a reputation for not only high-quality cuisine but also a comfortable and attentive environment where guests feel valued from the moment they arrive. The establishment prides itself on the seamless collaboration among staff members, fostering an environment where support and camaraderie drive the overall performance and customer satisfaction.

We are currently seeking a dedicated and guest-focused Host to join our vibrant team. As the first point of contact for our guests, the Host plays a vital role in creating an inviting ambiance by warmly greeting customers at the door and managing reservations and inquiries via phone. The role demands an enthusiastic individual who is attentive, organized, and able to manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously while maintaining a friendly and professional demeanor.

The Host's responsibilities extend beyond greeting and seating guests; they are instrumental in managing the flow of the dining room by maintaining the floor plan board, ensuring tables are promptly cleaned and prepared for new guests, and handling the waiting list with accuracy to provide precise wait-time information. The position also includes administrative tasks such as distributing parking vouchers, monitoring coat checks, and keeping the host area neat, organized, and well-stocked with menus.

Excellent communication skills are paramount, as the Host will frequently be the point of contact for answering phone calls, addressing menu questions, and taking room service orders. Beyond operational tasks, the Host contributes significantly to the overall guest experience by engaging with guests on arrival and departure, ensuring they feel appreciated and their experience exceeds expectations. Maintaining cleanliness in key areas such as restrooms, foyer, entryway, windows, and wine wall is essential to uphold the restaurant's standards of hygiene and presentation.

This role requires flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and especially Saturday shifts. For student applicants, availability during the winter break is necessary. Physical stamina is also important, as the job involves standing, walking, and occasionally lifting items up to 20 pounds, alongside other active movements such as stooping and climbing.

Joining this team means becoming part of a restaurant dedicated to excellence in service and quality, where your dedication and enthusiasm will directly impact the customer experience and contribute to the restaurant's ongoing success. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about hospitality and eager to grow within a supportive and dynamic environment.
