Job Requirements
- Availability to work evenings and weekends including Saturday AM or PM
- Must be a student or have availability over the winter break if applicable
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Ability to lift or move up to 20 pounds occasionally
- Experience working in a restaurant or hospitality environment preferred
- Familiarity with point of sale and reservation management systems
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Job Duties
- Greets and seats guests, presents menus to guests, informs them of special catch and soups
- Treats all guests in a manner to ensure their complete satisfaction and strives to exceed guests' expectations
- Takes names on a waiting list
- Runs the floor plan board
- Observes tables and keeps track of clean, dirty and occupied tables
- Takes guest information and quotes wait times accurately when tables are not immediately available
- Responsible for distribution of parking vouchers and monitoring coat check
- Cleans and organizes the host closet
- Cleans, organizes and stocks menus at host area
- Answers phone and provides information about the menu and restaurant
- Answers phone and takes orders pertaining to room service
- Interacts with guests as they arrive and leave to ensure a positive dining experience
- Maintains restrooms throughout shift
- Sweeps foyer and front entrance area frequently
- Keeps windows and wine wall clean
- Maintains and updates the information wall
- Performs other duties as directed
