Job Requirements

  • Some knowledge of basic cake decorating
  • Prior pastry culinary experience and/or culinary school degree or combination of education and experience
  • Ability to multitask and meet deadlines
  • Strong leadership qualities
  • Strong technical pastry skills
  • Ability to read Banquet Event Reports and run banquet events
  • Strong organization skills
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in English
  • Necessary State Food Handler's License(s)

Job Duties

  • Prepare pastries, desserts, and baked goods according to recipes and production schedules
  • Assist with basic cake decorating and finishing techniques
  • Support banquet and event production by reading and executing Banquet Event Orders (BEOs)
  • Ensure consistency in quality, flavor, and presentation of pastry items
  • Maintain organization, cleanliness, and proper setup of pastry workstations
  • Assist with daily preparation, plating, and replenishment of pastry items
  • Follow all sanitation, food safety, and safe food handling standards
  • Manage multiple tasks simultaneously while meeting production deadlines
  • Communicate effectively with culinary and service team members to support service needs
  • Assist with opening and closing kitchen procedures as assigned
  • Other tasks as assigned
