This particular role focuses on delivering exceptional customer service within a safe and clean environment, ensuring that every customer has a positive shopping experience that encourages return visits. The employee will be expected to deal with customers and colleagues in fair and ethical ways that promote an inclusive workplace. Providing the right products at the right time while maintaining fair and accurate pricing is a key responsibility. Maintaining product quality by monitoring freshness, reviewing "sell by" dates, and taking necessary actions is essential.
Associates should reinforce safety programs by complying with established procedures, reporting unsafe conditions, and adhering to all relevant food safety regulations. Preventive maintenance measures include inspecting equipment and notifying managers of required repairs. Reporting incidents such as accidents or any illegal activity promptly is part of the responsibility. The ability to work cooperatively in a fast-paced and sometimes stressful environment is necessary, as well as managing conflicts reasonably and respectfully.
Supporting customers with special needs, minors, and older adults via direct interaction also forms part of the job. Job Duties

- recommend coffee shop items to customers to ensure they get the products they want and need
- use all equipment in coffee shop such as the refrigerators, freezers, slicers, and ovens according to company guidelines
- prepare, package, label and inventory ingredients in merchandise
- check product quality to ensure freshness
- review "sell by" dates and take appropriate action
- properly use kitchen equipment, espresso machine, blender, computerized scale and steamer
- label, stock and inventory department merchandise
- report product ordering/shipping discrepancies to the department manager
- stay current with present, future, seasonal and special ads
- reinforce safety programs by complying with safety procedures and identify unsafe conditions and notify store management

- practice preventive maintenance by properly inspecting equipment and notify appropriate department or store manager of any items in need of repair
