The role being offered is a customer service position within the retailer’s coffee shop or food service department. Job Requirements

Job Duties

  • Provide exceptional customer service in a safe and clean environment to ensure the customer’s return visit
  • Treat customers and employees in a fair and ethical manner, promoting an inclusive work environment
  • Create an environment that enables customers to feel welcome, important and appreciated by answering questions regarding products
  • Gain and maintain knowledge of products sold and respond to questions while making suggestions
  • Collaborate with associates and promote teamwork to help achieve company and store goals
  • Prepare beverage selections to recipe and standards using proper equipment
  • Tender transactions using company best practices
  • Offer product samples and inform customers of specials
  • Provide customers with fresh products and the correct portion size to prevent shrink
  • Recommend coffee shop items to customers
  • Use all equipment such as refrigerators, freezers, slicers, ovens according to company guidelines
  • Prepare, package, label and inventory ingredients and merchandise
  • Check product quality to ensure freshness and review sell by dates
  • Properly use kitchen and coffee shop equipment including espresso machine, blender, scale and steamer
  • Label, stock and inventory department merchandise
  • Report product ordering and shipping discrepancies to the department manager
  • Stay current with present, future, seasonal and special ads
  • Reinforce safety programs by complying with safety procedures and identifying unsafe conditions
  • Adhere to all food safety regulations and guidelines
  • Inspect equipment and notify appropriate store manager of any items needing repair
  • Notify management of customer or employee accidents and report safety risks or illegal activity
  • Work cooperatively in high-paced and sometimes stressful environment
  • Manage conflict reasonably, nonconfrontationally and cooperatively
  • Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information
  • Follow directions and seek assistance when necessary to resolve issues
