This open position is focused on delivering outstanding customer service while maintaining a safe and clean working area. The role demands an individual who can create an environment where customers feel welcome, important, and appreciated by offering knowledgeable assistance and guidance about the products available within the department and the entire store. This involves gaining and maintaining comprehensive knowledge of the items sold, answering customer inquiries accurately, and making suitable product recommendations to meet customer needs effectively. The position also entails preparing beverage selections according to established recipes and standards, managing transactions following company best practices, and providing product samples to encourage customers to explore new offerings. Additionally, it includes responsibilities such as keeping up to date with current and upcoming promotional ads, ensuring product freshness by checking 'sell by' dates, and adhering strictly to all food safety regulations and safety programs. The role requires collaboration and teamwork to meet both store and company goals, along with a strong ability to handle conflict reasonably and cooperatively in a sometimes fast-paced and stressful environment. Furthermore, the successful candidate will be expected to operate kitchen and coffee shop equipment proficiently, manage portion control to prevent shrinkage, properly label and stock merchandise, and report any discrepancies or safety concerns to management promptly. This position is fundamental in driving customer satisfaction and operational excellence while upholding the company’s values and safety standards.
