Job Requirements
- high school diploma or equivalent preferred
- excellent customer service skills
- previous comparable experience preferred
- ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- good communication skills
- ability to manage conflict reasonably and cooperatively

- ability to use kitchen and coffee equipment safely
- ability to follow company policies and procedures

Job Duties
- provide exceptional customer service in a safe and clean environment to ensure customer return
- treat customers and employees fairly and ethically promoting an inclusive work environment
- provide the right products at the right time with fair and accurate pricing
- create an environment that enables customers to feel welcome and appreciated by answering product questions
- gain and maintain knowledge of products within the department to respond to questions and make suggestions
- collaborate with associates and promote teamwork to achieve company/store goals
- prepare beverage selections following recipes and standards and tender transactions using best practices
- offer product samples and inform customers of specials
- provide fresh products with correct portion sizes to prevent shrink
- recommend coffee shop items to customers
- use coffee shop equipment according to guidelines
- prepare, package, label and inventory ingredients and merchandise
- check product quality and review sell by dates
- properly use kitchen equipment and espresso machines
- label, stock, and inventory department merchandise
- report product ordering/shipping discrepancies
- stay current with promotional and seasonal ads
- comply with safety procedures and identify unsafe conditions
- practice preventive maintenance on equipment and report repair needs
- notify management of accidents and safety risks
- manage conflict reasonably and cooperatively
- act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information
- follow directions and seek help when necessary
- provide support and assistance through direct interaction with diverse customer groups
- perform essential job functions with or without accommodation
