Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 2 years experience as a Barista
- Valid food handling certificate
- Advanced store training certification
- Certified Barista trainer credential
- Strong communication skills in English
- Ability to perform basic arithmetic
- Knowledge of food beverage and labor cost control practices
- Ability to supervise and lead staff
- Availability to work flexible hours
- Commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and service
Job Qualifications
- 2-years experience as a Barista
- Food handling certificate
- Advanced Store Training Certified by District Manager
- Certified Barista Trainer
- Knowledge of various drink recipes and beverage service standards and food sold in Starbucks
- Fluency in English both verbal and non-verbal
- Provide legible communication
- Compute basic arithmetic
- Familiarity with food beverage and labor cost controls
Job Duties
- Maintain complete knowledge of and comply with all departmental policies service procedures standards
- Maintain complete knowledge of correct maintenance and use of equipment and use equipment only as intended
- Anticipate guests' needs, respond promptly and acknowledge all guests regardless of busyness or time of day
- Maintain positive guest relations at all times
- Be familiar with all hotel services, features, local attractions, and activities to answer guest inquiries accurately
- Keep updated with Corporate Starbucks communications about promotions and new products
- Resolve guest complaints ensuring guest satisfaction
- Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation and organization of assigned work areas
- Maintain complete knowledge of food and beverage selections, menu items, outlet layouts, setups, capacity, hours, price range and dress code
- Monitor staff performance and ensure procedures are followed to department standards
- Coordinate staff schedules, breaks and assignments
- Conduct pre-shift meetings and review daily objectives
- Inspect grooming and attire of staff and rectify deficiencies
- Oversee inventory, requisitions, and ordering policies
- Ensure compliance with state regulations and food handling standards
- Handle guest problems and monitor guest satisfaction
- Maintain drink recipe book and ensure drink preparation standards
- Ensure all orders are prepared and delivered timely
- Assist staff to ensure optimum guest service
