The Shift Supervisor position at Concord is an essential role responsible for upholding the Starbucks experience in the store by modeling stellar customer service, ensuring the delivery of high-quality products, maintaining safety and cleanliness, and effectively managing shifts. This role requires a confident leader who can motivate and guide baristas during their shifts to maintain operational standards and promote a positive atmosphere for both customers and employees. The Shift Supervisor will manage stock inventory, assist with cashier duties using the point of sale (POS) system, oversee food and beverage preparations, and ensure that the store adheres to safety and sanitation standards. As an integral part of the team, this position requires excellent communication and organizational skills to efficiently assign daily tasks to baristas, manage busy environments with frequent interruptions, and contribute to the ongoing training and certification of new baristas.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience in Starbucks with point of sale (POS) cash tendering knowledge
  • Must be able to lift to 30 lbs
  • Must be able to bend and stand for the entire shift
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions
  • Must be able to work various shifts and flexible hours, including weekends and holidays

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience in Starbucks with point of sale (POS) cash tendering knowledge
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills
  • Thorough knowledge of the point of sale system and cash handling accuracy
  • Complete knowledge of outlet offerings and preparations
  • Increased speed in processing guest orders

Job Duties

  • Maintains outlet inventory and supplies as well as outlet cleanliness
  • Performs point of sale (POS) functions, including comps and voids
  • Makes coffee and specialty drink items and fills food orders
  • Assigns baristas to daily stations
  • Communicates inventory needs and maintenance problems to management
  • Sets up stations and performs side work and opening/closing duties as directed by the supervisor
  • Receives, fills, and delivers stock orders/requisitions
  • Assists with the certification of new baristas
  • Complies with and maintains safety and sanitation standards
