With a strong emphasis on memorable shopping experiences, Macy's offers a wide array of products in inspiring stores that continue to captivate the hearts and minds of customers nationwide. Macy's is committed to fostering a work environment that values diversity, inclusion, and authentic connections among colleagues and customers alike. This ensures that every team member feels part of a larger story that continues to evolve and inspire.
The Barista Trainer role at Macy’s Starbucks operation plays a crucial part in maintaining the high standards customers expect from both Macy's and Starbucks. This full-time position supports the Starbucks Manager in running an efficient, professional, safe, and profitable store environment following all company and Starbucks standards. Typically, full-time employees work 30 or more hours per week, and part-time colleagues usually work between 12 to 24 hours weekly, including weekend and holiday shifts based on business needs. The Barista Trainer leads service during shifts by providing strong leadership, monitoring food quality, and ensuring team adherence to Starbucks’ merchandising, product presentation, and signage standards. The position involves training and coaching associates to enhance their skills, motivation, and performance, ensuring exceptional customer service and product preparation. Moreover, the Barista Trainer helps manage inventory, food ordering, and financial reports to align with business goals. This role is vital in fostering a positive environment that emphasizes safety, sanitation, and professional grooming standards. It also helps maintain authentic connections with both colleagues and customers, strengthening Macy's commitment to a welcoming and respectful workplace. The position offers ample opportunities for career growth within an inclusive and dynamic environment. With competitive pay and benefits such as health coverage, 401(k) matching, performance incentives, paid time off, and colleague resource groups, Macy’s supports the professional and personal well-being of its employees. Joining Macy’s as a Barista Trainer means being part of a unique story centered around quality, teamwork, and community engagement while contributing to memorable customer experiences day after day.
