The company offers a dynamic and inclusive workplace where employees can contribute to unforgettable moments for customers and communities alike. Macy's commitment to employee growth, diversity, and customer satisfaction makes it a premier destination for job seekers in the retail industry. As a staple in the retail market, Macy's provides employees with opportunities to engage with customers through quality products and outstanding service across a wide range of departments and specialties.
The role of the Barista Trainer at Macy's Starbucks operation is a vital one, supporting the Starbucks Manager in delivering a professional, efficient, and profitable coffee service experience. This position is designed for individuals passionate about coffee culture and customer service, offering a hands-on leadership opportunity where training and coaching play key parts. The Barista Trainer ensures that the Starbucks team complies with all company standards, including food safety, product quality, and customer interaction. This full-time or part-time position requires flexibility in scheduling, including weekend shifts, reflecting the retail environment's demands. The role focuses not only on maintaining Starbucks standards but also on fostering a positive team culture through motivation, coaching, and feedback.
As a Barista Trainer, you will be expected to lead by example, managing the daily operations of the Starbucks outlet within Macy's, including overseeing the preparation and presentation of beverages and food items, monitoring quality using established checklists, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. Your responsibilities will also extend to inventory management, forecasting, sales reporting, and supporting store management with operational goals. This role is physically demanding, involving lifting, standing for long periods, and using various equipment, which makes it suited for individuals who are energetic and enjoy a fast-paced work environment.
Joining Macy's as a Barista Trainer means being part of a community that values authenticity, respect, and inclusion. You will have access to competitive pay, comprehensive benefits such as medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance, a 401(k) plan with matching contributions, paid time off, and holiday pay. The company also supports your personal and professional growth through continuous learning opportunities and leadership development. Additional perks include merchandise discounts, performance-based incentives, annual merit reviews, and access to employee assistance programs offering mental health counseling and legal and financial advice.
This position is an excellent opportunity for those who desire to advance within the retail and hospitality sectors while contributing to an established brand that embodies tradition and innovation. Macy's recognizes the importance of a diverse workforce and invites applicants from all backgrounds to contribute to the team's success. If you are enthusiastic about coffee, customer service, and leadership, consider applying for the Barista Trainer role and be part of a story that continues to inspire customers and employees nationwide.
