This position demands an upbeat and welcoming approach for each guest, impeccable preparation skills, and a thorough knowledge of various kitchen and retail equipment. The Barista will also be responsible for managing orders, transactions, maintaining cleanliness, stocking products, and supporting team communications. Reporting directly to the Lead Barista, the successful candidate will play an integral part in upholding the brand reputation through excellent guest service and operational efficiency. This is a full-time position that requires regular and predictable attendance with the opportunity to gain valuable experience in customer service, food and beverage operations, and teamwork within a supportive work environment. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- One year guest service and cashier experience required
- Effective communication skills in English both verbally and in written form
- Ability to walk, stand, or sit for extended periods
- Ability to lift and move products up to 50 lbs
- Fine finger manipulation
- Willingness to work indoors and outdoors in varying environmental conditions including smoke, temperature, lighting, and noise
- Regular and predictable attendance
Job Qualifications

Job Duties
- Flawlessly prepare beverages by reciting recipes from memory
- Welcome each guest in an upbeat, positive, and professional manner
- Upsell food items according to restaurant standards
- Use standard kitchen equipment including toasters, refrigerators, coolers, slicers, and blenders
- Take guest orders accurately and prepare them timely
- Collect payment following proper cash handling and company procedures
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of front and back of house, clear tables and counters, and sweep dining area
- Stock retail areas and cold foods, ensuring product expiration dates are current
- Clean and stock guest service areas with items such as creamer, sugar, napkins, and stir sticks
- Maintain visually attractive presentation of Starbucks retail merchandise
- Perform opening and closing duties as assigned
- Unload warehouse orders and stock to designated storage while maintaining organization
- Establish and maintain effective communication with team members and guests
- Recognize team members who go above and beyond using company recognition system
- Follow company policies and local, state, and federal regulations consistently
- Maintain a safe environment by reporting unsafe conditions and incidents
- Uphold a positive and professional image for the company
- Maintain regular and predictable attendance
- Perform other assigned duties as needed
