The Barista position at Caribe Royale Orlando is a vital role within the food and beverage team, focused on delivering outstanding guest satisfaction by expertly mixing and serving beverages and efficiently handling orders. This role requires a professional demeanor suitable for a luxury environment, where attention to detail and exceptional customer service skills are paramount. The Barista will be responsible for preparing beverages according to customer specifications, offering appetizing suggestions of food and drink items through suggestive selling and upselling techniques, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace adhering to health, safety, and sanitation guidelines. Working in a fast-paced, dynamic setting, the Barista must demonstrate the ability to implement the hotel’s standards and procedures consistently while contributing to the store’s sales goals and improving profits.
In this role, the Barista will also be engaged in customer interaction activities, such as offering demonstrations and samples to guests, showcasing brewing equipment expertise, and ensuring operational flow at each station by following established policies and procedures. Additional responsibilities include merchandising, rotating, stocking products, managing cash handling, and cashier duties in compliance with hotel policies. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Professional demeanor appropriate for a luxury environment
- Able to handle a multitude of tasks in an intense, ever-changing environment
- Demonstrated ability to implement standards, procedures and sequence of service consistently
- Previous café experience preferred
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Ability to communicate in the English language
- Second language is a plus
- Ability to work flexible schedules including holidays and weekends
- Knowledge of proper chemical handling, cleaning techniques and use of equipment
- Ability to maintain professional demeanor appropriate for a luxury environment
- Previous café experience preferred
Job Duties
- Prepare beverages to customer specifications
- Make appropriate suggestion of food and beverages using suggestive selling and up selling technique
- Offer customer demonstrations and samples using brewing equipment
- Maintain clean and organized workspace
- Follow health, safety and sanitation guidelines for all products
- Follow store policy and procedures for operational flow at each station
- Follow standards for merchandising, stocking, rotating and storing products
- Follow cash handling procedures and cash register policies
- Contribute to store goals for increasing sales and improving profits
- Perform any other reasonable duties as required by management
