The Barista position at Paradies Lagardère offers a dynamic and engaging role where you will be the face of the brand, providing courteous, friendly, and efficient service to every guest. This part-time role requires availability on weekends, especially Saturdays and Sundays, and involves working an opening shift from 3 am to 2 pm. As a Barista, you will operate coffee-making equipment, prepare beverages according to specified recipes and presentation standards, and handle transactions accurately using the point-of-sale system. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Ability to work weekends including Saturdays and Sundays
- Food and beverage experience preferred but not required
- Customer service focused and solution oriented
- Ability to take direction and collaborate in a team environment
- Ability to work in a high energy and demanding environment
- Knowledge of math to figure cost, make change, and handle cash
- Effective communication skills in English
- Able to work unsupervised and demonstrate good judgment
- ServSafe certification or equivalent preferred

Job Duties

- Warmly greet guests and take drink and food orders promptly within 30 seconds
- Operate coffee making equipment and maintain cleanliness
- Prepare and present beverages according to recipe and presentation standards
- Accurately process payments including cash, credit, and debit using the point-of-sale system
- Ensure guest satisfaction and promptly resolve any guest concerns with manager support if necessary
- Assist in training new team members and support other restaurant areas as requested
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment free of safety hazards
- Comply with all local, state, and federal laws including food safety regulations
