The Barista position at Children's Health is located within their Starbucks department, situated on-site in Dallas, TX. This is a full-time role, operating Monday through Friday from 1 pm to 9:30 pm, with rotating weekend shifts as needed. The role plays a vital part in elevating the daily experience of both staff and visitors through exceptional service and high-quality food and beverage preparation. As a barista, you will be responsible for preparing standard and customized beverages and food items according to precise recipes and customer preferences. You will also manage cash transactions accurately, maintain cleanliness, and adhere strictly to food safety and operational standards. The position requires a great deal of attention to detail, multitasking, and efficiency to minimize customer waiting times and ensure a smooth running of store operations.

Job Duties

  • Prepare food and beverages to standard recipes or customized for customers including recipe changes such as temperature quantity of ingredients or substituted ingredients
  • Enter cost of customer food items into cash register give total customer purchase amount receive payment and make change
  • Balance the cash drawer on a daily basis and complete any related paperwork
  • Maintain cleanliness and neatness of cashier area and serving areas assist others in keeping lounge area tables chairs clean
  • Clean assigned equipment and area as needed maintain cleanliness and par level of paper goods and dry goods in retail area
  • Remove and check expiration dates of all items
  • Show sense of urgency to reduce customer wait times
  • Other duties as assigned within scope of the role
