This role is for a Starbucks Barista who will be an integral member of Ascent Hospitality’s Starbucks team. The Starbucks Barista position contributes directly to the company’s ongoing success by delivering legendary customer service to all customers, including local patrons and hotel guests. This role is pivotal in creating the authentic Starbucks Experience by offering prompt, high-quality beverage and food service while maintaining a clean and welcoming store environment. Being a Starbucks Barista with Ascent Hospitality means more than just preparing coffee; it’s about embodying the company’s guiding principles and culture in daily interactions, providing warmth, professionalism, and exceptional service.
The position requires an individual who can consistently meet high standards of product quality, adhere to operational policies including cash handling and safety, and maintain a calm and organized workspace even during peak times. The Barista will be responsible for welcoming guests according to company standards, anticipating customer needs, and forming meaningful connections through friendly and attentive service. Candidates should be comfortable working flexible hours including early mornings, evenings, weekends, nights, and holidays. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- prior food and beverage, coffee/barista, or restaurant experience preferred
- ability to work flexible hours including early mornings, evenings, weekends, nights and holidays
- ability to maintain a neat and professional appearance
- ability to communicate effectively in English
- ability to follow safety and operational procedures
- physically able to lift up to 50 pounds and withstand periods of standing and active work
- ability to maintain calm demeanor under pressure
Job Qualifications

Job Duties
- Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards, providing eye contact and a warm welcome as they enter the coffee shop area
- anticipate and address guests' service needs, assist individuals with disabilities, and thank guests with genuine appreciation
- act with integrity, honesty and knowledge that promote company culture, values and mission
- maintain a calm demeanor during periods of high volume or unusual events to keep store operating to standard
- anticipate customer and store needs by constantly evaluating environment and customers for cues
- deliver legendary customer service to all customers by acting with a customer comes first attitude and connecting with customers
- follow operational policies and procedures, including those for cash handling and safety and security, to ensure the safety of all Team Members during each shift
- maintain a clean and organized workspace so that Team Members can locate resources and product as needed
- provide quality beverages and food products consistently for all customers by adhering to recipe and presentation standards
- follow health, safety and sanitation guidelines for all products
- maintain regular and punctual attendance
- available to work flexible hours including early mornings, evenings, weekends, nights and/or holidays
