The Barista role at Ascent Hospitality is a key position designed to enhance the overall guest experience by delivering legendary customer service and producing high-quality beverages and food items. The Barista acts as the face of the coffee service area, creating the Starbucks Experience for local patrons and hotel guests alike. This includes quickly and efficiently serving customers with quality products while maintaining a clean, organized, and welcoming environment. The position demands excellent interpersonal skills, the ability to anticipate and respond to the diverse needs of customers, and a commitment to upholding company standards for service, safety, and hygiene. Job Qualifications
- Prior food and beverage experience
- coffee/barista experience preferred

Job Duties
- Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards providing eye contact and a warm welcome as they enter the coffee shop area
- anticipate and address guests' service needs assist individuals with disabilities and thank guests with genuine appreciation
- act with integrity honesty and knowledge that promote the culture values and mission of the company
- maintain a calm demeanor during periods of high volume or unusual events to keep store operating to standard
- anticipate customer and store needs by constantly evaluating environment and customers for cues
- deliver legendary customer service to all customers by acting with a customer comes first attitude and connecting with the customer discover and respond to customer needs
- follow operational policies and procedures including those for cash handling and safety and security to ensure the safety of all Team Members during each shift
- maintain a clean and organized workspace so that Team Members can locate resources and product as needed
- provide quality beverages whole bean and food products consistently for all customers by adhering to all recipe and presentation standards follow health safety and sanitation guidelines for all products
- maintain regular and punctual attendance
- be available to work flexible hours that may include early mornings evenings weekends nights and/or holidays
